| INFO | St. John Allerdyce (Pyro) is part of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and is the de facto leader of the organization. He is a mutant terrorist. He was born in Australia but grew up in the States (foster care). A former student of Professor Charles Xavier, he graduated with a degree in political studies (NYU) in 2006. In early 2005, he started up a non-governmental organization; the International Mutant Relief Center (IMRC), to help aid and assist mutants in third world countries. |
| HISTORY | St. John Allerdyce was tempted away from Xavier's influence by Magneto (following the attacks on the school by William Stryker) who observed the young man's ambition and the strength of his powers. John followed and joined Magneto and the shapeshifting mutant Mystique as they escaped from Alkali Lake; the remaining X-Men noted John's defection but were too occupied with their own escape to act on it.
As a result, Allerdyce joined the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants under the name of Pyro. The Brotherhood made a name for itself by attempting to assassinate anti-mutant politician Senator Robert Kelly, only to be thwarted by the X-Men.
In early 2006, Worthington Labs, announced that it had managed to develop a fix to permanently stamp out the X-Gene. They called it "The Cure". Magneto believed it to be a threat, the start of an all out of war against mutantkind. The Brotherhood was sent on a mission to Alcatraz Island to assassinate the scientists responsible for creating "The Cure", the man responsible for funding the project and a young mutant called Jimmy, who they were told, had his genes used as part of the development. Things did not work out as planned however as Magneto's powers were nullified by "The Cure". After losing to a battle with the Iceman, Pyro managed to escape the island and returned to the Brotherhood's base of operations in Salem, New York. |
| POWERS | Pyro is a Alpha-Level mutant.
His powers emerged at puberty, but since he could not think of a way to use them for profit, for years he did not use them except in emergencies.
Pyro is invulnerable to any fire that he has placed under his mental control and has the psionic ability to cause any fire to grow in size and intensity and to take any form he wishes, even that of a living creature. (Such fire creatures, however, have no intelligence or life.) He can psionically manipulate the flame to do whatever he desires. Pyro's fiery creations have greater solidity than normal flame; hence a giant "bird" he created from fire could grasp and carry a solid object with its claws. The degree of Pyro's concentration necessary to manipulate a flame being is directly proportional to the being's size, power, and flame.
Pyro, although able to control any fire within his vicinity, is unable to generate and project fire himself, without the means of flamethrowers. He can be harmed by any fire that he does not mentally control and any of Pyro's fiery creations will immediately revert to ordinary flame if he turns his interest from it. |
| VERSES | Pyro Verse - WIP
Pyro is single and is a member of the Brotherhood. In 2006, Magneto lost his powers due to the Cure, and Pyro took leadership of the Brotherhood. After Magneto regained the use of his powers however, he left Pyro to continue to lead the team, choosing to advice from the sidelines.
In February, 2008, Pyro was captured by the X-Men and held prisoner in a government mutant facility. He was eventually freed by the government through the help of Graydon Creed.

John Allerdyce has left the Brotherhood and is a wanted criminal. He steals and robs to survive on the street and travels from city to city. Currently a WIP with Anna.

NY Verse (Ended)
(May, 2007 - April, 2008)
John lived in New York and was married to Rogue, whom he first met at Xavier's in 1997. They were married in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, California on the 20th of July 2007. He was the founder and director of the International Mutant Relief Center, a non-governmental organization focused on giving aid and assistance to mutants in third world countries. The IMRC office is located on the 20th Flr of the Flatiron Building and he lived with Rogue in their shared apartment on the 18th floor of Archstone East 39th in Manhattan.
This verse ended in fade to black mode, but it can be assumed that they lived a happy life together. |
